Confirmation and Invalidation at a Level
Confirmation and invalidation are decided before entry or they are not decided at all, because after entry a trader is negotiating rather than executing.
What counts as confirmation at a gamma level?
Confirmation is observable rejection or acceptance, not proximity. The Obsidian desk requires price to reach the level, stall, and then reverse with a completed candle before entering, because price touching a marked strike is a location and not yet any kind of signal.
How should invalidation be set?
Invalidation belongs at the price that proves the thesis wrong, placed just beyond the level being traded, and chosen before entry. Position size is then derived from that distance, rather than the stop being placed to accommodate a position size already chosen.
Why is waiting for confirmation so difficult?
Waiting means accepting a worse entry price on every trade that works, in exchange for avoiding every trade that never turns. The cost of waiting is visible on each individual trade while the benefit only appears across a full month of results.
